How Much Does Junk Removal Cost?
Short answer: junk removal is priced by volume — how much of our truck your load fills — plus the labor to haul it out. In our area that runs from around $95 for a single item up to $600–$750 for a packed full truck. You point, we carry, and the exact quote is always free. Below: what drives the price, the typical ranges, and when a dumpster is the cheaper move.

What Drives the Price of Junk Removal.
Four things decide what a junk-removal job costs. Knowing them up front is the easiest way to understand your quote — and to see whether a roll-off dumpster might be the cheaper option.
Volume (how much of the truck you fill)
This is the big one. Junk removal is priced by the fraction of the truck your load takes up — a single chair is a small slice, a whole garage fills it. The more space it takes, the more it costs, so a tight, well-stacked pile usually prices lower than the same stuff spread loose.
Labor and lifting
You point, we haul — the price includes our crew doing all the carrying. A pile already at the curb is quicker than one we have to walk out of a back bedroom, which is why access and where the junk sits factor in.
Heavy debris
Concrete, dirt, wet materials, and roofing shingles weigh far more per cubic foot than furniture, and heavy loads cost more to dispose of. If your load is heavy-only, tell us up front so we size and price it right instead of surprising you.
Stairs and access
A second-floor apartment, a basement, a long walk from the house to the truck, or a tight downtown lot all add time. Ground-floor, close-to-the-driveway jobs are the quickest and usually the cheapest.
Junk Removal Price, by How Much You Have.
Since we price by volume, the easiest way to picture the cost is by how much of the truck your load fills. These are typical ranges for North Alabama — your exact quote is free, and the photo tool above nails it down in minutes.
| Load Size | Typical Range | What That Looks Like |
|---|---|---|
| Single item | ~$95–$150 | One couch, one recliner, one appliance, one hot tub — a quick grab-and-go pickup. |
| Small load | ~$150–$300 | A few pieces of furniture or the contents of a spare room. Roughly an eighth to a quarter of the truck. |
| Half truck | ~$300–$450 | A garage corner, a full room cleanout, or a mid-size pile of remodel debris. |
| Three-quarter truck | ~$450–$600 | A whole garage, a big cleanout, or a heavier construction load. |
| Full truck | ~$600–$750 | A packed truck — whole-home cleanout, estate clear, or a large debris job. |
Typical ranges for North Alabama, shown so you can ballpark before you call — they aren't a firm Dutch Dumpsters quote. Heavy debris (concrete, shingles, wet material) can move the number. Your exact quote is always free: send a photo or call (256) 939-7179.
When a Dumpster Is the Cheaper Move.
Junk removal is the better value when the load is small, you want it gone today, and you'd rather not lift it — a few pieces of furniture, an appliance, a single garage corner. But if you've got a multi-day project and don't mind loading it yourself — a renovation, a roof tear-off, a big cleanout you'll fill over a week — a roll-off dumpster rental usually costs less per load, because you fill it at your own pace and we haul it once. Not sure which is cheaper for your job? A 60-second call settles it.

Quick rule of thumb
- Book junk removal if it's a small load, you want it gone same-day, and you don't want to lift it.
- Rent a dumpster if you're working over several days and want the lowest cost on a big volume.
