What Size Dumpster Do I Need?
Pick your project, tell us how big it is — we'll recommend the right size, show the exact flat-rate price, and tell you the next day we can have it on your driveway. No email required to see your answer.
Sizing is a recommendation based on typical North-Alabama jobs — when in doubt we'll right-size it on the phone. Prices are Dutch Dumpsters' live flat rates and include a 5-day rental.
Common Size Questions
How do I know if I need a 20 or 30 yard dumpster?
For most homeowner projects — garage cleanouts, single-room remodels, small roof tear-offs — a 20-yard (holds 6–8 pickup truck loads) is the right call. Step up to a 30-yard for whole-home renovations, large roofing jobs, or new-construction debris. When you're between sizes, going up one size costs less than renting twice if you under-size and have to swap.
What fits in a 20-yard dumpster?
A 20-yard roll-off holds 6–8 pickup truck loads and includes 2 tons of disposal. It handles garage and attic cleanouts, kitchen or bath remodels, deck teardowns, and roofing up to about 1,500 sq ft.
What happens if I pick the wrong size?
Don't worry — the size finder is a starting point, not a commitment. When you reserve, we confirm the right size with you on the phone before delivery. If a job turns out bigger than expected, we can swap or stage a second pickup so you're never stuck.
How much does each dumpster size cost?
Dutch Dumpsters charges a flat $375 for a 20-yard (2 tons included) and $575 for a 30-yard (3 tons included), each for a 5-day rental. That flat rate covers delivery, pickup, and disposal inside our North Alabama service area — no hidden fuel or delivery surcharges.
